Fun on the Farm

We got two new baby chickens a few months ago. They are getting so big now. We ended up calling them Buttercup and Westley from The Princess Bride. They were hatched at my in-laws farm during the winter. They were getting to big for their cage in the house so we brought them home to our heated coop. One of our older chickens ended up "adopting" them. It was so cute. We are picking up more chicks next week from the farm store and are hoping that the mama hen will adopt them so we don't have to raise them in the house for 6 weeks.
Below is a picture of your silly duck, Coronal Sanders. He thinks he is a chicken. Or at least a roster. He has this Golden Comet as his girlfriend. It is so funny to watch him walk around with the chickens and quack. We put him in the pond every once in awhile and he takes a bath and then hops out and waddles back up to the barnyard to his chicken friends.

How to Clean Behind Your Ear

My cats Aggie and Mister are getting along so well these days. She loves to mother him and he is young enough that he lets her. (He just had his first birthday last week.) Whenever they get close Aggie has to clean his head or behind his ears. There are some pictures of her giving his head a good cleaning. He is so good to just take it. When Aggie was at the farm with my sisters cat Simon, he would let her clean his head for about a minute and then he would start attacking her. Needless to say she likes Mister a lot more than Simon.
